Privacy policy for PolishBnB

Introduction

Welcome to PolishBnB, an AI-powered listing audit service for Airbnb hosts. Your privacy is important to us, and this policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

PolishBnB is operated from polishbnb.com and is not affiliated with Airbnb, Inc.

Last updated: April 28, 2026.

Information We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to deliver your listing audit and report.

  1. Email address

    • What we collect: The email you provide when requesting an audit.
    • Purpose: To send your report and any related transactional messages (receipts, refund confirmations).
    • Note: We do not use your email for marketing unless you explicitly subscribe.
  2. Airbnb listing data (public)

    • What we collect: We fetch the public information shown on your Airbnb listing URL — title, description, photos, amenities, price, location, and review summary.
    • Purpose: To run the diagnostic and generate the rewrite. Same data any guest sees.
    • Note: We do not log into Airbnb. We do not collect guest data, host PII other than what is publicly displayed, or any private host-side metrics.
  3. Payment information

    • What we collect: Payment is processed by Stripe. Stripe receives your card details directly. We receive only what is needed to fulfill your purchase, including order/payment confirmation metadata and your email.
    • Purpose: To unlock your full report and issue refunds when requested.
    • Note: We never see or store your card number, CVC, or full billing details.
  4. Usage data

    • What we collect: Anonymous traffic analytics (page views, referrers, audit completion events) via PostHog in cookieless mode. No cross-site tracking, no advertising IDs.
    • Purpose: To understand which content is helpful and where the product breaks.
  5. Cookies

    • Strictly necessary: session continuity, theme preference, locale preference. These cannot be disabled without breaking the site.
    • Functional: remembering your last input on the audit form (cleared on tab close).
    • No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies are set.

Sub-processors

We use a small number of trusted third-party services to operate PolishBnB. Each is a "data processor" under GDPR / "service provider" under CCPA, and is contractually bound to confidentiality and the purposes below.

How We Store and Protect Your Data

  • Listing data and generated reports are stored encrypted at rest.
  • Reports are accessible via a signed URL valid for 24 hours; the link can be re-issued by request.
  • We retain audit data for 30 days to enable the free re-audit window. After 30 days, generated reports are purged unless you request otherwise.
  • We retain necessary payment confirmation and order metadata for tax/audit compliance in line with applicable legal requirements.

Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your information. We share data only when:

  • Required to operate the service (e.g., sending you the report email through our email provider).
  • Required by law (court order, lawful subpoena).
  • Necessary to protect our rights or the safety of others.

AI Output Disclaimer

PolishBnB uses large language models (Anthropic's Claude family, accessed via the LiteLLM proxy) to analyze and rewrite listings. Output is advisory; you remain responsible for what you publish on Airbnb. We make a best effort to ground recommendations in your real data and reject hallucinated facts, but you should review every change before applying it.

Your Rights

Regardless of where you live, you can:

  • Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
  • Request deletion of your audit data and email at any time.
  • Withdraw from any future re-audit notification.

EU / EEA / UK residents (GDPR)

You have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation, including:

  • Access (Article 15): obtain a copy of your personal data.
  • Rectification (Article 16): correct inaccurate data.
  • Erasure (Article 17, "right to be forgotten").
  • Restriction (Article 18): limit how we process your data.
  • Portability (Article 20): receive your data in a machine-readable format.
  • Objection (Article 21): object to processing based on legitimate interests.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. The legal basis for our processing is contract performance (delivering the audit you paid for) and legitimate interest (improving the service through anonymous analytics).

You have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we collect, use, share, and sell.
  • Delete personal information we have collected from you.
  • Opt out of any sale or sharing of your personal information (we do not sell or share for cross-context behavioral advertising).
